Orlando Gated Resort Communities offer many amenities not found in the typical short term rental areas. Most feature a community pool with clubhouse, and the larger ones may also have exercise facilities, game rooms, sundry shops and even movie theaters. The most popular of these communities include Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Emerald Island and Terra Verde, all with manned 24 hour gates.

Windsor Hills is the newest and is closest to Disney, just 2.5 miles to the gate. It is also the largest and features more amenities than its competitors. That makes it the most desirable of the Gated Resorts near the Disney Main Gate. Windsor Palms, just 3.5 miles to Disney, is slightly smaller than Windsor Hills and was started in 2000. It too features a large clubhouse with pools, exercise room, theater etc. Resales are available from the $100's.
